Charles's only major victory was at Breslau against the Duke of Brunswick-Bevern. But before you go patting him on the back, bear in mind that to pull that off, he had to throw 84,000 men against the Duke's 28,000. It took all day, and until the final hour, the outcome remained in doubt.

Grenzers were light troops originating in the Austrian borderlands, specializing in skirmish tactics. At Breslau, a number of these troops suddenly emerged from the woods on Brandes's right flank, intent on attacking his rear. In this they were bitterly opposed by the flank guard under Rohr.

When there are dice on this card, friendly Counterattacks inflict one extra hit.
Though his defeat was perhaps inevitable, Bevern held out against impossible odds for twelve hours, and the Austrians paid for their victory, suffering nearly as many casualties as the Prussians.
